  • Jessi debuted in 2005 but was not recognized until her appearance on the 2015 rap survival show Unpretty Rapstar. She is most well-known for her rant early in the season, popularizing the phrase, “We’re not a team. This is a competition” 1. She placed second in the finals (Results: 1. Cheetah (176 points), 2. Jessi (130), 3. Yuk Ji Dam (79)).
  • Jessi is good friends with Girl’s Generation’s Tiffany 2. MySpace posts from 2006 show Jessi telling pre-debut Tiffany that she shouldn’t have joined Girl’s Generation 3.
