Song Ji Eun - Bobby Doll (2016)
Song Ji Eun (b. 1990-05-05) is the main vocalist of Secret.
“Bobby doll” is a play on “barbie doll”. “When you say ‘barbie doll’, it means plastic doll, but my song title … could be a person’s name. It also means pretty person. I wanted to personify a doll to give it a little meaning.”1 This was more likely done to avoid copyright issues or broadcast restrictions due to advertising.
Both “I Wanna Fall In Love” and “Bobby Doll” were produced before “Twenty-Five” (MMM 2015-08-31), the title track of her last album. Due to scheduling conflicts, such as filming for a drama and waiting for other artists in the company to promote, her release was pushed back by nearly two years.2 (25 was released in October 2014.)
Ji Eun wrote a song for the album, but it was removed from the tracklist after deciding it didn’t match the concept of album.3
