BULLDOK - Why Not (2016)

The group’s name BULLDOK (불독) literally translates to “bull dog”. “The name ‘BULLDOK’ was chosen to give the five girls a powerful image. They are planning to show a different style compared to other groups, heard through their songs and seen through their performances.”1
A majority of the group were participants on the music survival show Produce 101 (2016): Hyungeun (as Kim Hyung Eun), Say (as Park Se Hee), Kimi (as Kim Min Ji), and Genie (as Lee Jin Hee).
They were criticized during grade placement for not being able to perform well other than strong hip hop concepts.2 This was proven incorrect judgement in later practice videos.3
Hyungeun won first place from audience votes in the position evaluations for rap.4
Say, Kimi, and Genie were eliminated in the second round; and Hyungeun, the third (of four rounds).
Kimi previously debuted in the shortlived group Scarlet.5
