  • Taeyeon (b. 1989-03-09) is the leader and main vocalist of Girls’ Generation.

  • Instead of doing a comeback showcase, Taeyeon did a live cooking show leading up the the single’s release.1

  • This song was revealed only days in advance. Some fans theorize it was SM’s attempt to compete with JYP (TWICE ([MMM 2016-10-24])) and YG (BLACKPINK ([MMM 2016-10-31])).

  • Girls’ Generation member Yuri said that when she meets new people, the first thing they ask is about Taeyeon: “At first, they’re amazed and go, ‘Wow! It’s Yuri!’ Then they go, ‘What about Taeyeon?’ ‘Yuri, why didn’t Taeyeon come out today?’ Like that.”2
