Heize - Star (2016)
Heize (b. 1991-08-09) is a solo singer-songwriter/rapper signed with CJ E&M (Mnet).
Heize’s name comes from the German word “heizen” for heat/hot. She also cites it’s a variation of one of her favorite rappers Angle Haze.1
Heize is obsessed with the Frozen (2013) character Olaf, having 40-50 dolls around her home.2 “I’ve always given the same answer when anyone asked me what I think love is. Whenever someone asks, I always say–this may sound a bit extreme–love is when you can die for the other person. In Frozen, Olaf said that he could melt for someone. I thought his values about love are similar to mine. I fell in love with Olaf as soon as I heard him say that.”3
Heize’s favorite K-pop girl group is MATILDA.4 She doesn’t follow boy bands to have a favorite.5
