In October 2016, eighth member Youkyung left both the group and FNC Entertainment.3 AOA used to follow two concepts: White and Black. White was the dance group, which included everyone but Youkyung; and Black, the band, which included Choa (guitar, vocals), Jimin (guitar), Mina (bass), Yuna (keyboard), and Youkyung (drums). AOA Black only released one single and was quietly forgotten after the dance group became more popular.
