MOMOLAND - BBoom BBoom (2017)

  • MOMOLAND was formed with the winners of the music survival show Finding MOMOLAND (2016), headed by producers Rhymer, Duble Sidekick, and Shinsadong Tiger.

  • Although Daisy was eliminated on Finding MOMOLAND, she was added to the group before their second single (March 2017).1 Produce 101 (2016) contestant Kim Tae Ha joined shortly after (April 2017).2

  • JooE’s over-the-top role in several 2016 Tropicana drink commercials unexpectedly made her the most well-known member: 1, 2, 3. She subsequently used the same performance in ads for the South Korean convenience store GS25. Its most recent usage is as a meme to troll internet live streamers.3

  • “BBoom BBoom” is very similar to Jeonghwa and Hyelin’s (EXID) “Are You Hungry?”, both of which are produced by Shinsadong Tiger.

  • [0:45] This is the second time MOMOLAND has included dabbing in their choreography. They first used it as point choreography in “Wonderful Love” (2016).
